"Being a mother is discovering strengths you didn't know you had and dealing with fears you never knew existed."
FACT: Maternal mental health (MMH) conditions are the most common complications of pregnancy and childbirth, affecting 1 in 5 women.

FACT: Women of color are more likely to experience maternal mental health conditions due to lack of access to healthcare services, racial bias and lack of culturally appropriate care.
FACT: Motherhood can be isolating, exhausting and defeating. Often the symptoms of postpartum depression and anxiety go untreated.
We help mothers struggling with maternal mental health conditions take care of themselves and their children by providing them with specialized services.

Our Story
Raising Mothers: It Takes A Village
Reverence, Awareness, Inclusion, Support, and Education (R.A.I.S.E).
These are the pillars from which the foundation of Mission: Motherhood was built.
We believe it takes a village to raise a mother.
Since 2019, we have become a reputable resource on maternal mental health in the community from peer-led support models.
Through our annual Maternal Mental Health Conference and Maternal SUD seminars, we continue to establish a collaborative network of state, regional and local resources to address gaps in maternal mental health conditions and supporting mothers in recovery.
In 2024 we officially launched, The Villages of Mission: Motherhood, which aims to provide individualized support for mothers with SUD and maternal mental health conditions by training Peer Recovery Specialists with a specialty in maternal mental health.
We know that recovery can only happen in community.
Motherhood was never meant to be a solo journey. At Mission: Motherhood, no mother ever walk
alone.
